Concert with Kat, piper John Dally and singer/cittern player Wally Bell in their trio "Middlemarch." Songs and tunes from the border region of Scotland and England. Joined for this show by fiddler/stepdancer/storyteller Sue Truman. Wally Bell hails from Northumberland, from a family of miners. Instead of going into the pit, he ran off to become a folksinger and player, carrying on the songs, tunes, and thereby the history of the country where he was raised. John Dally brings his scottish smallpipes and northumbrian pipes to the music, along with whistles, buttion accordion, and wry wit. Along with this, Kat gets to sing and play some of her favorite traditional music; the songs and tunes of the borders.
